Dr. Najeeb Ullah is currently working as Assistant Professor (Research) at Qatar University, with an impressive career dedicated to agricultural sciences and climate resilience. He holds a PhD in Plant Physiology from the University of Sydney, Australia, and has held several prominent positions, including Senior Assistant Professor at Universiti Brunei Darussalam and Research Fellow at the University of Queensland. He has extensive international research experience in crop physiology, breeding, and sustainable agriculture, having worked in Australia, Brunei, and China. His research focuses on crop adaptation to climatic variability, particularly heat, drought, and waterlogging stress. Dr. Ullah leads projects on drought- and salt-tolerant crops, automated phenotyping of stress-adapted plants, and indoor vegetable crop optimization. He has collaborated with local farms and international partners to develop region-specific solutions for sustainable agriculture. His research outputs include high-impact journal publications, conference proceedings, and contributions to crop improvement initiatives. His primary research interests include plant physiology, abiotic stress tolerance, indoor agriculture, crop biotechnology, and the development of climate-resilient vegetable crops suitable for arid environments.
